Lena Henrietta Kashiemer age 73 of Rockford, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born February 9, 1945 to Louis and Edna (Exner) Lanars in Greenfield. Minnesota.
Lena was a loving mother and grandmother. Lena always had a sense of humor about life and was always happy to help someone in need. She loved to laugh, joke around and enjoy time spent with family and friends. She spent much of her life working in child care and truly had a mother’s heart.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Edna Lanars; her brothers Henry and Leo Lanars. She is survived by her children Casey (Susanna) Kashiemer Jr, Rietta Kashiemer; 3 grandchildren Judah, Phoenix and Zion; boyfriend Bob Weise, siblings Ivan Lanars, Bernice (George) Geyen, Joseph (Bonnie) Lanars; as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends took place in the church on Saturday one hour prior to the Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. Inurnment was in the church cemetery.
