Leo A. Bokusky age 62 of Wheaton, formerly of Delano died on Thursday, Mar. 4, 2010 at his home in Wheaton. He was born September 22, 1947 to Jacob “Jake” and Margaret (Pillatzke) Bokusky in Watertown, Minnesota.

Leo served in the Army during the Vietnam war seeing duty in Okinawa. Over the years, Leo worked for the Delano Granite Works, St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Oildyne and Washington Scientific. He loved to fish and spend time in the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob “Jake” and Margaret Bokusky; brothers-in-law Donald Kowalke, George “Shorty” Karels Sr. and a niece Joann Kowalke.

Leo is survived by his siblings and spouses Mary Kowalke, Laura Karels, Helen Neaton, Edward and Gerri Bokusky, Louie Bokusky, Joseph and Diane Bokusky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation will take place on Monday March 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation will continue on Tuesday for 1 hour prior to services in the church. Rev. Timothy Cloutier will officiate with interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota. Casket bearers will be Jeremy Bokusky, James Bokusky, Patrick Kowalke, Bruce Karels, Tom Karels, and Bethany Karels.
