Lanars (Persian) Lila M. age 75 of Loretto passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. She was born March 16, 1937 to Benjamin and Dora (Zahler) Persian in Wayzata, Minnesota.

Lila was united in marriage on June 1, 1957 to Ivan Charles Lanars at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wayzata, Minnesota.
Her joy in life was her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was a priority. She was a regular attendee of the grandchildren’s sporting events.

Lila was preceded in death by her son Jerry; a granddaughter Amanda Kasheimer; and her brother Don Persian. She is survived by her husband Ivan; children Wally (Debbie), Bruce (Tammy), Karen (Rick) Jorges, Donna (David) Wiemann, Linda (Pat) Paine, Nancy (Howard) Kasheimer, Merry Lanars and special friend Todd Skeide; 15 grandchildren: Zachary and Lucas Lanars, Alicia and Brittany Lanars, Jenny, Andy, Kyle and Joey Jorges, Dianna and Nicholas Wiemann, Daniel and Michael Paine, Jessica, Travis and Kayla Kasheimer; sister Betty Ann (Bill) Baer; sister-in-law Mary Lou Persian.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota. Rev. John Gallas and Rev. Mr. John Drees celebrated the Mass with interment in the church cemetery.
