Lorraine E. Peterson, age 90 of Delano, after a good life filled with joy, has left her earthly garden on August 10, 2015 and now resides in the promised land. She was born on June 26, 1925 in Robbinsdale, MN to Henry and Elizabeth (VanBeusekom) Elsen.

Lorraine lived a long, active fun-filled life, demonstrating goodness and love every step of the way. Her strong faith carried her as she raised 4 children, farmed, photographed, gardened, kept family geneology, travelled the world, and enjoyed good times with family and friends. Her friendly, cheerful, optimistic can-do attitude made her a gift to everyone she met.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Gordy and grandson Sam. She is survived by her children John (Mary), Jean Peterson (Al Sterner), Rob, and Sara (Roger) Perez; grandchildren Ben, Ann, Lee; great grandchildren Evelyn, Elise, Samuel.

Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Delano. Visitation wasThursday 4-8 p.m. and continued Friday 10-11 a.m. ALL at Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church, Delano. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Delano.
