Lorraine M. Schweitzer, age 87, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away February 9, 2015. She was born on September 28, 1927, in Loretto, MN, to Nick and Catherine Kauth.
Spending time with family gave Lorraine her greatest joys.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steve, her parents and her sister, Mary Ann Russell. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James; children Cheri Gross, Cindy (Dave) Chandler, Tim (Betty) Schweitzer, Sue (Hank) Regard, and Tony (Chris) Schweitzer; grandchildren Melissa (Mike), Kyle (Marla), Kelly (Bill), Ryan (Kalie), Sara (Travis), Brian, Amanda (James), Kevin, Joe, Jennifer, Nick and Nathan; great grandchildren Ben, Grace, Eli, and Fiona; cousin/best friend Eileen Elsen.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto. Inurnment was in the Church cemetery. Any memorials given in honor of Lorraine may be made to North Hospice and Palliative Care in Robbinsdale, MN.
