Lynn Wenger

Lynn Kay Wenger, age 67 of Maple Plain, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 after a two weeks battle with heart complications at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. She was born on September 3, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to William C. and Lois L. (Laymen) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Edward J. Wenger on February 21, 1970 at the Calvary Memorial Church in Mound.

Lynn was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She loved to spend time with her family and visiting with friends, but she lived for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed coffee, shopping, traveling and playing Solitaire.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother Lois. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ed; children Lynn Renee (Dave) Ahrends, Julie (Jake) Munden, Nathan (Becky) Wenger and Carol (James) Filibeck; grandchildren Kathy Brown; Abby, Rachel, Isaiah, Josiah and Eli Ahrends; Christi Munden; Audrie, Gracie, Levi and Elijah Wenger; Shaun Hitt; Ezra and Kendra Filibeck; great grandchildren Aylee and Michaela; father Bill (Joyce) Thomas; sisters Mary Ann Bueide and Carol (Bill) Minor and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service was held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Harvest Fellowship Church, 400 2nd Ave N., Sauk Rapids, MN. A Gathering of family and friends was on Wednesday, from 4-7 PM at the Watertown Community Center, 309 Lewis Ave S., Watertown, MN. There was a luncheon following the memorial service.
