Margie Jacobs born December 31, 1933.  She passed away at home on April 15, 2025 surrounded by her family at the age of 91.

Margie was born the 10th of 11 children to Arthur and Magdalena Laurent.  She was united in marriage to Richard Jacobs on June 24, 1953. Together they ran their farm, raised their six children and went through life hand-in-hand. They were members of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Margie and Richard enjoyed many winters in Texas, summers at their lake home in South Dakota and family camping trips to Mabel Lake.  Margie was cuttingly funny and wonderfully creative.  She was an excellent seamstress, could knit and crochet and was always ready for any craft project or trip to Hobby Lobby. Mom was the consummate mother and always worried about everyone before herself.

Margie is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Richard Jacobs; children Cindy (Robert) Volkenant, Mary Jacobs, Jim (Sara Merlin) Jacobs, Jeff (Bonnie) Jacobs, Laura Wendorf, Jean (Tom) Mathisen; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She is further survived by her sister Joanne Weidenbach, sisters-in-law Avis Laurent, Jean Salonek,  Patty Scherber, and brother-in-law Joe (Shiela) Jacobs.
