Marian Chock

Marian L. Chock age 85 of Buffalo, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born on February 10, 1928 to Walter and Roberta (Hale) Pastoret.
Marian married Raymond A. Chock on September 24, 1949 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Minneapolis. In 1956 they made their home on Copeland Road in Independence, where they farmed and raised their four children. Marian was the first woman school bus driver for the Delano Schools and later served as Postmaster at the Hamel and Maple Plain Post Offices. She was past President of the Northwest Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed spending time with her family and at their home on Turtle River Lake near Bemidji.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; grandsons, Daniel and Darren; and sister, June Parta. She is survived by her sons, Greg (Judy), Mike (Ruth), Jeff (Julie) and daughter, Mary Beth; brother, Ralph Pastoret; 14 grandchildren, Chris, Susie, Brad, Ken, Miranda, Dusty, Michael, Jon, Scott, Carolyn, Dylan, Ryan, Tom and Sam; 12 great grandchildren, Matt, Nick, Cailin, Anna, Brendon, Logan, Ellie, Danny, Brady, Delilah, Doree and Rosalynn.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Casket Bearers were Brad Chock, Ken Chock, Michael Chock, Jon Chock, Scott Anderson, Dylan Chock, and Ryan Chock. Interment was in the Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
