Marilyn P. Schmidt age 81 of Montrose, MN passed away peacefully Oct. 23, 2010 surrounded by family. She was born June 30, 1929 to Nicholas and Frances (Doherty) Kittock in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Marilyn is survived by her husband and friend of 62 years, Frank; children Barbara and Bruce Guggemos, Douglas and Shirlene Schmidt, Dan and Esther Schmidt, Robin and Marc Dirkswager, Lynn Schmidt; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers and spouse Stanley and Lorraine Kittock, Ed Kittock; sisters and spouse Carmen and Mel Lenander, Jan Crum, Sister Lisa Kittock OSB; brother-in-law Tom Dederichs; special friend Deacon Walter Kieffer OSB; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Frances Kittock; step-father John VanBeusekom; brothers and spouse Jerome and Betty Kittock, Milton Kittock; sister Barb Dederichs; grandson Jeremy Pettit; sister-in-law Marilyn Kittock.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and caregivers of the Memory Care Unit of the Legacy of Delano and Heartland Hospice Care for their compassion.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wed. Oct. 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Mary, 606 Elm Ave, Waverly, MN. Rev. Timothy Cloutier officiated at the Mass. Memorials preferred to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund.
