Mark Nolan

Mark G. Nolan, age 51 of Delano, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born in Watertown on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, the 7th child of James and Mary (Magner) Nolan.

Mark grew up in Delano and graduated from Delano High School in 1984. He played football, baseball and was very proud of being on the first ever Tiger hockey team at DHS. In the summer after graduation, he particularly enjoyed his experience as Delano’s delegate to Boy’s State. He attended St. Cloud State University and graduated in 1988 with a BA in Business Marketing and a BS in Education (History).

Mark was always active in sports; coaching local youth baseball for many years and attending all types of sporting events. He especially loved his vacations with family and friends at cabins Up North and on the river in Red Wing as well as his regular fishing trips to the Great Lakes.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Jim and brother-in-law Steve Krueger. He is survived by the loves of his life, his children Brady, Ellie and Katie; mother Mary; siblings Bob, Nancy (Pat) Neaton, Shelley (Bob) Russek, Russ (Janette), Lori and Jim; mother of his children Michele; and many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano. Visitation was Monday, 4-7 pm and continued Tuesday 10-11 AM prior to the Mass in Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church. Inurnment was at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Delano.
