Mary Kay Johnson, age 76 of Waverly died on Monday, July 1, 2013. She was born April 6, 1937 to Julius and Duly(Fitzpatrick) Herbst in Waverly, Minnesota.

Mary Kay was a lifelong resident of Waverly and a lifelong active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.

Mary Kay was preceded in death by her husband Jack; son-in-law Chris Grefsrud; brother-in-law Gerald May. She is survived by her children Alan (Karen) Johnson, Dan (Sherri) Johnson, Bob (Charie) Johnson, Virginia Grefsrud; grandchildren Matthew, Russell and Katelyn Johnson, Jeremy and Nathan Grefsrud, Zachary Johnson; brother Dan Herbst, sister Ann May.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Waverly, Minnesota. Interment was in the church cemetery.
