Michael A. Scheiber, “Mike” age 53 of Minneapolis, formerly of Delano died on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born September 22, 1957 to Gilbert and Alberta (Odenthal) Scheiber in Watertown, Minnesota.

Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend; a free spirit who embraced life and lived it to the fullest. Watching out for others, doing for others, were the ways of Mike. Whether he was shoveling the walks in the neighborhood, preparing meals or doing the grilling duties, he always had time for others. Mike loved to drive fast in his immaculately kept red corvette.

He died doing one of his passions, working and training his German Shepherd. He was an avid dog handler specializing in Schutzhund, a dog guard protection specialty. He was an active member of the Minnesota Valley Schutzhund Verein. Please visit the MVSV.org website to see a nice remembrance of Mike.

Mike was employed as a carpenter working in constructing scaffold systems.

He is survived by his wife Renda; children Dustin (Amanda) Scheiber, Angela (Neil) Stocker; granddaughter Ava; step children Mindy, Misty, Michael, and Mandy Zerwas; many step grandchildren; parents Gil and Alberta Scheiber; brother Mark Scheiber; sister Mary (Kevin) Lyons; nephews Hayden and Coleman.
