Naomi Riebe

Naomi Donna Riebe went to be with the Lord, passing away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Naomi was born, the second daughter of Max and Martha (Kahl) Henke on May 29, 1935 in Wood Lake, Minnesota.

Baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. Upon graduating Valedictorian from high school, Naomi attended Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis. After working as an RN for several years, she went to school for anesthesia. Naomi worked as a CRNA for 40+ years at St. Mary’s, Buffalo Hospital, Ridgedale Surgery Center and finally West Health.

On August 7, 1959 Naomi was united in marriage to Ronald Riebe. Their union was blessed with one daughter. Naomi loved spending time with her family; crocheting, reading, traveling with Mary, and cheering on her beloved Vikings.

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband Ron; parents Max and Martha Henke; sister Gloria; brother-in-law Donald Rebers.

Naomi is survived by her daughter Mary; nephews Daniel (Sue) Rebers, Robert (Lynn) Rebers, Randal (Sue) Rebers, nieces and nephews DeeDee Rebers, Bonnie (Kenneth) Weege, Linda Rolf, Ron (Linda) Wendt, Gaylen Hempel, Rick (DeAnna) Hempel, Joyce Hempel, Connie Beaulieu, Kevin (Connie) Loken ; as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews, as well as great great great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation took place in the church on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. Interment was in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
