Ronald Steven Banta, “Ron” age 49 of Montrose died on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Marie Steiner Kelting Care Center in Chaska, Minnesota. He was born October 28, 1961 to Roger and Joyce (Sieler) Banta in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Banta; as well as his parents-in-law John and Carol Morrissette and many aunts and uncles.

Ron is survived by his wife Patti; children Stacy and Brett Yanish, Samantha Banta, Courtney and Matt VanLith, Jeremy Morrissette and fiancé Nichole, Josh and Jill Morrissette; 14 grandchildren Riley, Taylor, Christopher, Calvin, Isabelle, Destiny, Paige, Isaiah, Winter, Isaac, David, Kaylee, Erin, and Brianna; father Roger and Jean Banta; brothers Russ and Jenny Banta, and Robert Banta.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, Minnesota. Chaplain Bob Haskin officiated at the services.
