Rosetta Vieau
June 15, 2024

Rosetta Barbara Vieau, age 86 of Delano, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the first of four daughters born to Clarence and Rose Buetow.

Rosetta adored her husband, Leon, who she met when they worked at Minneapolis Moline in Hopkins, Minnesota. She frequently said how she knew they would get married after their very first date. They shared numerous adventures over the years including traveling to many places around the world, spending winters at their home in Fort Mohave, Arizona, and celebrating nearly every holiday with their children and extended family at their home in Delano. They worked side-by-side at the NAPA store that they owned in Delano. Rosetta also worked at the Delano School District supporting several roles within the school.

Rosetta adored her six children and their families. Her legacy will live on through them and through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous others whose hearts she has touched over the years.

For hobbies, Baking was one of her favorite things to do. She loved the process especially the sharing with family and friends.   Rosetta was obsessed with ensuring that “her” birds were well fed while constantly sparring with the squirrels and other varmints who believed she was putting out food for them. With the assistance of others, she also maintained her flower and vegetable garden which was, by far, the largest in the neighborhood.

Rosetta is proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Rose Buetow, and her husband Leon. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Doreen Lenzen, Clarice Petroska, Bonnie Furman, her children John Vieau (Mindy), Marty Vieau (Linda), Rodger Vieau (Chris), Karen Beaupré (Scott), Nancy Vergin (Brent), Barb Whelan (Kevin) her grandchildren, Jacque, Adam, Byron, Jessica, Alisha, Jordan, Amanda, Marin, Chase, Perry, Colin; and great grandchildren Noah, Harper, Morgan, Avery, Rylee, Jaxon, Anastasia, Eliot, Asher, Lyle, Paige, Harvey; brother in law Loren (Cec) Vieau, sisters in law Jane (Jerry) Lyrek, Lil (Roger) Georges, and a very large community of neighbors, friends, and relatives.
