Silvio Cortolezzis
August 29, 2018

Silvio passed away at his home on August 29, 2018 surrounded by family. He was born in Treppo Carnico Udine Italy on November 22, 1935.

At a young age, he began his life of an immigrant. First to Luxembourg and then in 1958, he immigrated to his new home, Canada.

For the next 40 plus years, Silvio became a resident of Manitouwadge, Ontario. To many from Manitouwadge, he will be remembered fondly as Silvio the bread man, or Silvio from minor hockey, Silvio the Reeve or Silvio the fuel truck guy. He loved everything Canada represented and this became home. But to the ones closest to his heart he will always be remembered as Daddy and Nonno.

Silvio is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bertilla and their sons Giovanni (Donna) of Sudbury, Ontario and Mario (Allie) of Watertown, Minnesota. His grandchildren (Emily, Ben, Michela and Dante) were his biggest prize in life.

He is now at home in the loving arms of our Lord and with his family. Mandi papa
