Tammy Laureen Luegge age 52 of Independence, Minnesota. formerly of St. Clair, Minnesota died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at her home in Independence. She was born November 15, 1958 to John and Marilyn (Hellekson) Schneider of Mankato, MN.

Tammy is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Kari (Nate Matter), grandson Austin Schneider of Delano; siblings Patti (Kevin) Miley of Dassel, Judy (Dennis) Yokiel of Madison Lake and Ron (Kris) Schneider of Mankato.

Tammy excelled in her career as an Accounting Manager/Comptroller until her diagnosis of lung cancer in 2008. As the battle persisted, Tammy continued to enjoy gardening and spending precious time with her family and many close friends. Her warm smile and sense of humor will be missed by everyone she touched.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano, Minnesota. Interment was at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato, Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. A gathering of family and friends followed the committal service at the home of Tammy”s brother, Ron Schneider

Chaplain Bob Haskin officiated at the services. Casket bearers were Kris and Keith Miley, Travis Jordan, Jeff Groebner, Ashley Wetzel and Nate Matter. Honorary casket bearer was Austin Schneider.
