Vernita Cheryl “Nita” Oestreich (Koecher) age 85 of Delano passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born September 3, 1929 to Chester and Alice (Strehler) Koecher.
Nita was united in marriage on June 26, 1954 to Willard Oestreich at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hanover.
Nita loved doing all kinds of puzzles, dancing, playing cards, telling jokes and reading romance novels. She also enjoyed all flowers; planting marigolds and hostas.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 yeara Willard; daughters Karen Carlson and Linda Fabian; 5 grandchildren Sara Bialke, Angie Carlson, Bobbie (Dave) Willenbring, Christopher Oestreich and Kelly Fabian; 5 great grandchildren Adam and Gage Zaccardi and Kalia, Angel and Mattie Mae Brown; brother Arlyn (Kathy) Koecher.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday April 23, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation on Thursday 9:30-11 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment in the church cemetery.
