William Oral Lipe age 86 of Minnetonka passed away on March 7, 2010 in Watertown, Minnesota. He was born July 16, 1923 to Oral A. and Virginia (Roberts) Lipe in Crook County, Wyoming.

William was a lifelong member of Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. A World War II naval veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty; 3 sons Rodney, Bruce, and Greg; and a grandson Willie Homola. William is survived by his 7 sons Jerry and Janet Lipe of Duluth, Steve and Karen Lipe of Watertown, Bill and Dottie Lipe of Winsted, Roger and Patti Lipe of Yacolt, WA, Warren and Patty Lipe of Waconia, Les Lipe of Minneapolis, Barry and MaryAnn Lipe of Battle Ground, WA; 4 daughters Sally and Ron Lindberg of Amboy, WA, Beth and Steve Homola of Minnetrista, Janice and Bill Homola of Delano, Joanna and Randy Charlson of Minnetonka; 73 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of Christian friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5617 Rowland Rd. in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. and continues 10 to 11 am. Thursday all at the church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
