Zacharias “Zach” Burau of Watertown, MN passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2025 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN.

Zach was 18 years old.

Zacharias was born June 9, 2006 in Waconia, MN. He was loving to everyone he met. Zach enjoyed listening to music, watching Youtube, keeping a schedule, and the Vikings. The only thing he ever demanded was that you would sit by him and play the piano…with your elbows.  In addition, he loved being outside, going on road trips and traveling to see family.  Regardless of his circumstances he carried positivity, a sense of humor, and enjoyed time spent together with everyone.

Zach had a way of reminding you to be grateful for the smallest things in life, he was a blessing and will be dearly missed.

Zacharias is preceded in death by grandfathers Harvey Burau, and Anders Hemborg; Uncle Christer Hemborg and Aunt Pamela Byrne.

Zacharias is survived by his loving family: Parents; Timothy and Sara Burau; Sister; Sabrina Burau; Grandmothers; Beverly Burau, and (Mormor) Mona Hemborg; Aunts and Uncles; Joe and Patti Lemmerman, Penny Burau, Jeff and Renee Byrne, Anne and Stefan Hemborg, Åsa and Nolan Hemborg Van Wyk, Mia and Bo Kristiansson; and many cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will begin 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Mt Olive Lutheran Church, Delano, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to service, with a lunch to follow. Burial will take place at a later date.

Urn bearer is Zach’s cousin Charlie Byrne.
