a.k.a. “Ole”
Born February 20, 1929 to Fred and Cora Seck (Hedtke) in Watertown Township. Baptized at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Watertown Township. Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Watertown MN in 1943. Attended Watertown High School, graduated in 1947.
Served in the US Air Force from 1950 – 1954 (stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict). Married Ukiyo “Linda” Shimada February 7, 1955 in Fukuoka, Japan. Worked for Fratzke Implement for six years before going into the restaurant business with Linda. With his wife, owned and operated Linda’s Café in Watertown for 30 years. Enjoyed watching and playing (in his younger years) all sports. He could always be seen in the stands at a Red Devils games or at the high school football field when one of his son’s was playing.
Preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles. Survived by his wife (Linda), Sons (Steve and Tony), grandsons (Brandon and Jordan Seck), sister (Marlene Bender) and nephew (Mark Bender).
Memorial Services was held at 2 P.M., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown, MN. Gathering of family and friends was Saturday, 1-2 P.M. prior to the service, at the church. Inurnment was in the church cemetery.
