Ronald (Ron) Doboszenski

Ronald “Ron” Doboszenski age 78 of Loretto passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 peacefully at home with his family surrounding him. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Ron was the third youngest child of Vincent and Rose (Marx) Doboszenski. He grew up on a farm just outside of Loretto. Ron attended Ss. Peter and Paul school through the 8th grade. He served in the Army for two years during the Vietnam War as a mechanic on a tank retriever. He was Honorably discharged in February of 1966. Later that year he was united in marriage to Marlis Werbowski. They had three children, “Jason”, Shellee and Jana.
Ron worked as a welder for R&W Welding in Osseo for 40+ years. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. Local farmers and neighbors always knew they could count on him to get them fixed up and on their way again.
He loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Most of all, he loved spending time with family and was most proud of his grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death his parents Vincent and Rose Doboszenski; parents-in-law John and Louise Werbowski, sister Delrose Kilthau, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Leonard Schlosser and Richard Peterson, Arlene Doboszenski, Phyllis Doboszenski, and Susan Werbowski.
Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlis; children Jason (Mary) Doboszenski, Shellee Desens, Jana (Leo) Syverson; grandchildren Sam Doboszenski, Ellie Doboszenski, MaKayla Desens, Dakotah Syverson, Deven Syverson; siblings Bernice Schlosser, Kathleen Peterson, Leander (Lucy) Doboszenski, Gerald (Eldoris) Doboszenski, James Doboszenski, Kenneth Doboszenski, Marvin (Marlene) Doboszenski, Anthony (Margaret) Doboszenski, Richard Doboszenski, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dennis Werbowski, Duane (Connie) Werbowski, Dave (Christina) Werbowski and Mary Lee (Tom) Underhill. as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Loretto, Minnesota. Visitation occurred on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the family residence. Visitation continued Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to Mass. Interment with military honors was in the church cemetery.
