Susan Denise Weiland age 71 of Delano passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born December 28, 1951, to Richard and Lois (Pioske) Holmberg in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Sue graduated from Norwood Central and went onto St. Cloud State. After college, Sue made her career in cosmetics retiring as a territorial manager for L’Oreal. She met and married Stephen Andrew Weiland and they were united in marriage on August 23, 1974, at Bongards, MN.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Richard; She is survived by her husband of 49 years Stephen; children Jenna Halek (Loren Halek), Jesse Weiland (Mary Ann Weiland); grandchildren Emma Weiland, Ethan Weiland and Eli Weiland; mother Lois Holmberg; siblings Cynthia Henschen (David Henschen), Elizabeth Holmberg (Robert Dopplehammer) and Scott Holmberg (Jane Holmberg).

Memorial Services were held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Lyndale Lutheran Church in Independence, Minnesota. Gathering of family and friends took place in the church for one hour prior to the services from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Inurnment was in the Delano Public Cemetery. A reception followed the service.
