Patricia Anne Schaar, “Pat” age 90 of Howard Lake, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born May 2, 1933, to Andrew and Josephine (Rogers) Hayes in Montrose, Minnesota.

Pat was a 65-year day care provider in the Delano/Howard Lake area. Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years George, son Tim, granddaughter Angela, great-granddaughter Peyton, siblings Richard Hayes, Virginia Lynch, Clifford Hayes, Joseph Hayes, Mary Jane Hayes, Maurice Hayes, and Kevin Hayes

She is survived by her children Steven (Michel) Schaar, Sue (John) Hamill, Rita Decker (Robert Brown), Vanessa (Matt) Zimmerman; 11 Grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Christine Schaar; brother Eugene Hayes; and sisters-in-law Marian Hayes and Marion Hayes.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Church of St. Mary in Waverly, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday, February 8^th in the parish hall, as well as 10-10:45 AM prior to Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Delano, Minnesota.

A special thank you to the care givers of Haven Homes where Pat developed love of bean bag toss, ladder golf and axe throwing.  She felt cared for and loved by all the staff, especially Eunice, Marge and Kennedy
