Lawrence Myron “Larry” Broll, age 87 of Waverly, passed away on November 10, 2025, at the “Legacy of Delano” after a battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was born on August 30, 1938, to George and Magdalene (Ertl) Broll in Waverly, Minnesota.

Larry graduated from St. Mary’s High School of Waverly in 1957. He married his high school sweetheart Gladys (Marketon) on June 6^th, 1959.  God blessed their marriage with 3 children Jeff, Julie and Tim.

Larry raised his family on the family farm south of Waverly, where he engaged in dairy, hogs, and cattle along with running a fertilizer and propane company.

He enjoyed square-dancing, playing his guitar, camping, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing along with many other activities with family and friends.

He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever possible.

Preceded in death by wife Gladys (Marketon) Broll; parents Magdalene (Ertl) & George Broll.

Larry is survived by his children Jeffrey (Mary) Broll, Julie (Brad) Mader, and Timothy (Tracy) Broll; Grandchildren: Mathew Ollig, Daniel (Cyndy “Sam”) Ollig, Andy Ollig, John Olson, Katherine (Garrett) Mohr, Ryan Broll, Ava Broll; Great-grandchildren: Dakota, Jedidiah, Benjamin Ollig (Daniel & “Sam”), Holly, Lyra, Rosalee Mohr (Kate & Garrett); Siblings: Marcella (Alvin) Peitz; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Church of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly, Minnesota. Visitation was held from 9-11 AM prior to the Mass, all at the church. Interment with military honors was in the church cemetery.
