In 2003, they sold the farm to John and moved up to the Ash River Trail in Orr where they built a new home. They had just recently sold their place on the trail and had plans to move back to Delano.
Dale passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth after suffering from severe heart disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and John, sister Betty and brother-in-law Gene Arial, also brother-in-law Jim Robbins, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lorraine and Gordon Stieve, and brother-in-law Ed Russek.
