John P. Budd age 74 of Maple Plain, formerly of Aitkin, passed away July 14, 2015 at Haven Homes in Maple Plain. He was born on March 16, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN to Meryl and Mary (Kelly) Budd.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964 and was honorably discharged with the rank of SP4. He then worked as a driver for Meyer Bros Dairy until retirement. After retirement, John and Suellen moved to Aitkin where John started his scrap recycling business JB Cats, serving northern MN. He loved hunting and fishing.
John was preceded by his parents and brother Michael Kelly Budd. He is survived by his wife Suellen (Krause); children Matt, Steve (Gail), Julie Rehbein (Brett); grandchildren Tori, Taylor, Jack, Brooklyn, Charlie; siblings Jerry, Jim (JoAnn), Patricia Zachau, Rose (Tom) Gag.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Loretto. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Iten Funeral Chapel, Delano. Visitation continued Tuesday, 10-11 a.m. prior to the Mass at church. Interment with Military Honors was in the church cemetery.
