Pearl Osgood
6/5/2015

Pearl Mildred Osgood (99) of Delano, MN went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2015. Pearl was born in Clearbrook, MN to George P and Emma (Baumann) Anderson on January 6, 1916. She grew up in the Bagley vicinity, attended school there, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. In 1940 she married George Osgood. They moved to Lyndale, MN and then purchased a large home on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis where their two children, Orville and Larry were born. From Hennepin Avenue they moved to a lovely country home in Glen Lake, MN and then to a larger acreage in Long Lake, MN, where they lived happily some 40 plus years. When the city planned a new highway that forced a sale, they moved out to a lovely farm in Delano, MN, close to where Pearl”s husband George had been raised and schooled.

Pearl was a wonderful, compassionate person. She loved cooking, gardening, animals, nature, and entertaining friends and relatives. She was a devout Christian and dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Orville (Pam) Osgood; grand-daughters Tammy (Gary) Gutzke and Sara (Douglas) Warren; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Gutzke and Owen and Ellen Warren; sisters Florence Haagenstad, Ruth Gubrud, Delpha (Ken) Close and Orphie Shellum; sister-in-law Helen (Mrs. Wallace) Anderson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband George in 2002, son Larry in 2011, sisters Goldie Friborg and Ruby Oien, and brothers Wallace and Lionel Anderson, all of Bagley, MN. Pearl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
