Eleanor (Tootsie) Pearson

Eleanor Mae Pearson, “Tootsie” age 91 of Watertown passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was born January 13, 1928 to Michael and Nellie (Cebulla) Farniok in Delano, Minnesota.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother; and a hands on farm wife. She loved gardening, cooking and making things for her family. She raised chickens, calves and many well cared for cats. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church.

On February 23, 1957 she was united in marriage to Clinton Jerome Pearson, to this union 5 children were blessed. In mom’s spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzles, word finds and playing cards.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Clinton, great granddaughter Victoria Pearson; parents Michael and Nellie Farniok; siblings: Mary (George Sr.) Motzko, Evelyn (Frank) Kruzel, Lorraine (Vernon) Duske, Clarence Farniok, Edwin Farniok, Raymond Farniok; brother-in-law Bernard Nieman.

She is survived by her children: Jerome (Sheila) Pearson, Kenneth (Donna) Pearson, Kevin (Christine) Pearson, Patricia (James) Dye, Joan Pearson; 16 grandchildren: Herman Pearson, Jeremy (Gretchen) Pearson, Clinton (Dawn) Pearson, Elizabeth Pearson, Emily Pearson, Tim (Kim) Dye, Bob (Alison) Dye, Mike (Pearl) Dye, Brandon (Jennifer) Pearson, Dustin Bening, Nathanial Pearson and significant other Mandi Grafenstein, Derrick (Courtney) Pearson, Nicholas Millerbernd, Jonathan Pearson, Dillon Pearson, Megan Pearson; 15 great grandchildren: Jordan, Owen, Mason, Morgan, Hailey, Stella, Avery, Raylan, Zachary, Mallory, Lucas, Benjamin, Alexander, Cadence, Cleo; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Lucille Farniok, Vivian Farniok, Shirley Farniok, Rita Nieman, Edward Pearson, Barb Sohns and friend John McDonough; step sister-in-law Mary Moore; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020 in the church with a 3:45 p.m. rosary service. Visitation continued 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday prior to the Mass in the church. Interment was in the St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota.
