Marjorie Jerde (Gallus) passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2014.
Marjorie H. Jerde, 85, of Ramsey passed away on Saturday January 25 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
She was born on February 27, 1928 to Joe and Blanche (Fautsch) Gallus of Montrose.
Marge met a handsome young man named Floyd Jerde from Lyndale. They married in 1946 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Floyd began serving in the U.S Army while Marge lived at the home of her parents until Floyd returned after 2 years in the Army.
Floyd and Marge raised 2 daughters, Cheryl and LuAnn.
Marge enjoyed working and owning the Bo-Do Café in Delano with her husband.
In 2000, Marge retired from the Delano Care Center after 26 years of service.
Marge loved entertaining and fishing at their lake home on Lower Mission Lake in Merrifield, embroidery work, traveling with her daughters and family, cooking and baking for her family and friends.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, baby brother; husband Floyd, son-in-law Mike Roskop, sister Eleanor Adickes.

Survived by daughters, Cheryl (David), LuAnn (Joe); 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at 11:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, Delano. Inurnment was in the Calvery Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota.
