Ronald W. Bazillion

Ronald William Bazillion, Sr. “Rocky”, age 82 of Buffalo, Minnesota, formerly of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020. He was born November 17, 1937 to William and Margaret (Cormier) Bazillion in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Rocky grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts and attended Lynn English High School graduating in 1955. He was an excellent athlete, especially in Track and Basketball. Due to Rocky’s jumping abilities, he was known as the “Kangaroo Kid”. He went on to play semipro basketball where he was a headliner, who still holds scoring records. Another pursuit of his was boxing, he won a Golden Gloves Championship in the Light Heavy Weight class in the early 1950’s out of the Lowell Massachusetts Club.
Rocky started working at General Motors in 1964 as a member of the UAW, retiring in 2004. In 1994, Rocky met his future wife and they were united in marriage on May 5, 1998. They resided in Maryland and until GM asked him to move to Minnesota in 1999.
Rocky was a collector, especially classic movies. Comedies had a special place in his heart.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret Bazillion and his brother Paul Bazillion. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda; sons Captain Ronald William Bazillion, Jr. and Gerald Michael Bazillion; granddaughter Riley Rose Bazillion; stepchildren John Kevin Thomas Sr., Rhonda Michelle Gibbs; siblings Walter Bazillion and Theresa Durden; Godson Ricardo Rhodes; as well as many other family and friends.
Interment in the Eden Prairie Cemetery in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
